Sacred Shimmy has been performing and teaching modern fusion bellydance & music since 2002.  We present a combination of live music and lively dance celebrating the power of movement, community, and creativity.  Inspired by healing trance rituals, village folk celebrations, and modern bellydance, we work together to create performances that are truly tribal in nature.  Our devotion to this style has lead us to study with the originators and masters of dance and drumming in the US, Morocco, and Turkey.  Our aim is create vibrant, powerful pieces that strike a chord in the audience and to inspire more movement creativity and adventure in others.
