Dive Into Dialect with Lisa Allred: Dayanisma and Red Sage Stylizations

Let's spend November celebrating creativity and innovation!  Movement Dialect is a phrase used to describe movements, steps, and formations that fit neatly into FatChanceBellyDance format but were created after FCBD's Volume 7 DVD was released.  Brilliant dancers from all over the world have been inspired by the elegant and playful aspect of this type of fusion and used this creative spark to develop new ideas to make your own!

In this workshop, Lisa Allred will focus on "creativity within structure" or how her groups have taken FCBD(R) defined structure of group improvisational dance and add their own personal and troupe flair.  Students will also learn how "body matching" in class prepares you to dance with other dancers who have different stylizations- with very little rehearsal. In addition to learning how to "body match", Lisa will teach you Dayanisma and Red Sage Collective dialect movements including Turkish Traveler, Shazella, Ming Medusa, and Flamenco Triangle Combo.

This class will be held via Zoom meeting. Participants will receive a link to the class about an hour before start time. You will also receive a link to a recording of the class that you can download to use at another time. The workshop cost is $25.
